I know – they don’t look like nailheads,do they?
The term is used to describe beads witha flat back, having stringing holes run though them from side to side.
They are used whenever you want a bead that’s flat on the back and will sit flat on whatever you are making – whether it is costume jewelry, appliqué,
card or scrapbooking. You can use them for clothing or costumes – just don’t sew them on anything you plan to machine wash, because they are made of glass.
These lovely 8 millimeter five-petalled flower beads are extremely well made, and date back to the early to mid
1900’s.
Frankly, I got tired of counting them,but I can tell you for sure there are a least 400 in the lot!
(Somehow, I bought an awful lot of these atone time!) It’s safe to say you’ll never see such an excellent price on these beads again!
