    Description

    Antique Victorian Mourning Hair Gold Filled (unmarked) Brooch. Brown Hair Woven in Pattern Under Thick Beveled Glass Keepsake. 1890 C Clasp, Over Extended Pin Brooch. More Than 140 Years Old; not new mint. Hair weave Pattern Under Glass Insert Keepsake Only 9.90.
    I purchased this brooch witout a back. Added Back of brooch has dents & 2 repaired holes; back is not Gold filled.
    Measures 1 3/4" x 1 1/2" .Glass insert has a few age related scratches.
    Victorians took their mourning very seriously. These weave & hair works of art were often sent out to professionals to make. Brooch is circa 1870. It presently just a brooch. I have included aremovable new gold plated Vertical Brooch to pendant converter.
    This hair work is done by me.
