    Description

Refurbished Recapped Clean Working Commodore Amiga 4000/040 w/Keyboard Mouse
    CLEAN     WORKING     RECAPPED
Commodore Amiga 4000 with a 68040 Processor, 2MB of RAM and 16MB of Fast RAM, and Two IDE HDDs.
The Amiga 4000 Computer was taken apart and thoroughly inspected, rebuilt, and tested to work. I found many leaky capacitors
on the motherboard and a leaky battery. Thankfully, the damage was minimal and the corrosion was neutralized and cleaned up.
All capacitors on the motherboard and CPU card were replaced with low ESR, long endurance 5000hr+ brand new capacitors.
The old NiCd CMOS battery was also replaced with a brand new and upgraded NiMH version with a larger capacity. The Power
Supply's cooling fan was found to have bad bearings and was very noisy. It was replaced with a brand new, much quieter, fan
that should last for many years. The power switch was also found to be broken and was replaced with an NOS identical unit.
The front facia shows some yellowing. This particular computer was known to be used in a music studio and probably sat in
the sun for a few years pumping out cool tunes. Many music production software are found on the disks installed along with
    Workbench.
The computer comes configured with two floppy drives. Both of the drives work and load games as it should. One of the
floppy drives, is an HD drive with XL-DRIVE board attached in the back. This lets you use HD floppy disk for a maximum of
1.76Mb per diskette. Additionally, a pro sound card is found tucked inside the machine and appears to work but was not fully
tested due to a lack of knowledge of the card. It is a Blue Ribbon SoundWorks "One Stop Shop." The card comes with the
bundled midi breakout cable. One of the hard drives is a Seagate ST3144A with 131MB of storage. For some reason, I did
not write down the storage size of the second HD. When I look at the photos, it is buried under the one I just mentioned. As
I recall, it is smaller in size or possibly the same size. Either way, they both work. :-)
Overall this is really good Amiga computer that is almost in "like new condition." I put a lot of hours into this and completely
tore down and rebuilt this machine in order for it to last many, many years. You will not be disappointed with your purchase.
The keyboard was also refurbished and clean along with the mouse.  The keyboard shows yellowing but is in good working
    condition.
A perfect Sound Adapter is also included in the sale.
Please see photos for content and physical condition.
There is no warranty and I am selling as-is with no returns.
All Sales to Hawaii, Alaska, or PR will be subject to paying exact shipping cost that will be calculated.  Please ask prior to purchasing the computer.
eBay policies leave me with no choice but to mark each of my auctions with a “no return” policy.  This is being done to protect me against returns such as (buyer’s remorse).   After using the item for days and weeks, the buyer can submit a return and is not obligated to reimburse the seller for shipping charges and I have to pay for shipping charges back.  Even though it is marked a “no return, “a buyer can still submit a return if the item was not as described or the item was damaged during shipping.  Also, I do not need an eBay policy to do what is right and accept the item back if it wasn’t as described or damaged during shipping.  Keep in mind, that I mainly sell vintage computers and vintage computer accessories.  That said even though the box/item may not show damage, the internal mechanism may have been damaged or jarred from a rough truck and/or plane ride.  I will work with ALL my customers to resolve the problem.  Recently, I have had to take back items where the buyer didn’t check with mom/dad, husband/wife, or God prior to buying and did a return.  eBay forced me to take the item back.  Personally, I do not think that this is an acceptable way to return items.  Many of the sellers on here are just trying to provide for their families and this kind of previous return is not fair to the seller.  We are not Walmart or Costco that cannot absorb these financial damages.   Again, I will work with all my costumers to ensure that they are happy with the item they purchased.  Thank you for your patronage.
